Job Summary

Reporting to the Department Manager, The Resource Educator will:

  • Promote, create and offer activities to childcare settings that stimulate and develop children’s intellectual, physical, emotional and social growth;
  • Work in partnership with service providers;
  • Ensure activities are conducive with childcare setting policies; and
  • Promote and offer educational events to childcare providers and others in the community
  • Provide resource and consultation services to parents and family-based childcare providers


The Resource Educator will have:

  • Early Childhood Education Certificate
  • Two (2) years recent related experience

Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Hours of Work

  • 39 hours per week, flexible to meet program needs

Rate of Pay

As per the Collective Agreement. Grid Level 11 applies to this position.
