Program Summary
The Legal Advocate provides access to justice for all individuals facing poverty law issues by providing information, advocacy, and referrals. Areas of poverty law include: Income security; Housing; Debts and collections; and Family law information and referrals.
Our advocate is not a lawyer and cannot give legal advice. The program staff works from the Dawson Creek SPCRS office and will travel and/or host virtual meetings to connect with and serve people in Chetwynd and Tumbler Ridge. Public legal access computer sites are available in each community and our staff can assist you to arrange a time for their use.
This program is funded by the Law Foundation of British Columbia.
